Do You Live in Media Borough? Here's How to Find Out!

One of the things I love most about being Mayor is hearing directly from residents; your questions, your concerns, and your ideas make this community stronger. So first, thank you to everyone who takes the time to reach out.

That said, I've been getting more emails lately from folks who live outside Media Borough's boundaries. I completely understand the confusion! The greater Media area is a close-knit community, and the lines on a map don't always match how we think about where we live day to day.

Here's the thing: as Mayor of Media Borough, I can only act on behalf of the people who live within the Borough itself. If you live in Middletown Township, Nether Providence, Upper Providence, or another surrounding municipality, you have your own elected officials who are ready and eager to hear from you — and they're the ones with the authority to actually help.

Not sure if you're a Media Borough resident? Here's what I'd recommend:

  • Check your voter registration at vote.pa.gov — it will list your exact municipality.
  • Look at your property tax bill, which will name your municipality.
  • Use the map posted with this blog entry to get a visual sense of where Borough boundaries fall. (The red triangle is Media Borough, the place I represent.)

If you are in Media Borough, please keep those messages coming — my door is always open. And if it turns out you're in one of our neighboring townships, I'd encourage you to reach out to your local elected officials there.

We're all neighbors, and I want to make sure everyone gets the help they deserve from the right people. Thanks for being engaged — that's what makes this whole corner of Delaware County such a wonderful place to call home.

— Mayor Joi, Media Borough
